Description

This original character has been a work in progress for a while now, however I finally finished her. Never having made an OC to this level of visual representation, I find it rather fitting that she has become my new avatar.

Her name as the title of the piece suggests is Giga Volt.

As a Earth Pony filly, she was struck by a massive lightning bolt during a freak rain storm. Though the strike caused her no immediate harm, she would later develop a mild case of dementia due to neurological damage. However, through all the negativity that the event had forced upon her being, it did bring forth a peculiar ability. Supercharged by the electrical discharge, her body became a superconducting bioelectric-generator, allowing her to not only generate, but pass extreme levels of electrical current through her body painlessly on a whim. This unique ability eventually landed her her cutie mark and career as a lead innovator in the field of electricity. As her dementia worsened, she pursued self employment as an inventor using her fortune gained from royalties on her cordless electric blanket sales. To this day she has preferred to remain in seclusion as she works on her experiments.

This is a still version of the original piece I made for use as a desktop wallpaper (16:9).

The first thing I thought about seeing this picture was the hair, it has a very nice detail in it showing the strands, and is a very good difference between light and dark. I also like the facial expression as well. The skin is very well smoothed out and very well shaded. The eyes have a very nice detail to it, how the pupils are small and the difference from light to dark. The background is very nice of the way it fits in with the picture. This picture is an amazing piece of art where I can't seem to find any flaws. Great job!
